Fnatic benched bodyy: what happened?

Esports organization Fnatic has decided to bench professional CS2 player Alejandre “bodyy” Pianaro. The team announced this on their official social media pages, leaving fans to wonder about the athlete’s future.

Bodyy joined Fnatic in November 2023, and since then the team has competed in a number of major tournaments, such as the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, Thunderpick World Championship 2024, RES Regional Champions, and YaLLa Compass Summer 2024. However, despite the ambition and hard work, the results were often below expectations, with Fnatic consistently finishing in the 5th-8th place. While bodyy has made a significant contribution to the game, the team appears to have had internal disagreements or strategic changes that led to this decision. It is not yet known where Alejandre will continue his career, but his professionalism and experience make him an attractive figure on the free agent market.

It’s worth noting that bodyy isn’t the only loss to Fnatic’s roster recently. The organization previously parted ways with coach Jamie “keita” Hall and player Aurelien “afro” Drapier. This could indicate a major restructuring of the team, which may be preparing for new challenges in the rapidly evolving esports world.

Given bodyy’s experience and reputation, it’s safe to assume he won’t be left without a team. Esports circles are already actively discussing potential candidates for the player, and Alejandre himself has most likely taken a break to consider his next steps in his career. Fnatic, in turn, faces a difficult task – to live up to the expectations of fans and prove that all the recent changes will lead the team to new heights.
